His message also focused on the Israeli spirit of resilience, the imperative for continuous innovation, and the enduring hope that defines the nation’s character.
Prof. Itai Pessach, Director of the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital shared his insights from Sheba’s response to the aftermath of the October 7th events and the medical center’s efforts for receiving, treating, and rehabilitating returning hostages.
Dr. Ellay Hogeg-Golan shared her deeply personal testimony about surviving the October 7th attack with her family, recounting their harrowing escape from their burning home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza, and emphasized the widespread impact of trauma on Israeli society, while highlighting Sheba’s crucial role as a national anchor in healing both the visible and invisible wounds of the nation.
The evening featured performances by Montana Tucker, a well-known dancer and social media influencer as well as Eden Golan, Israel’s representative to the Eurovision 2024 contest. Their artistic contributions added a profound emotional dimension to the evening.
