ARC @ Sheba Medical Center & Reichman U. Partner to Turn Academic Innovation into Scalable HealthTech Solutions
ARC Innovation, the global health innovation engine of Sheba Medical Center, announced a strategic partnership with Reichman University to accelerate the commercialization of university-led innovation into real-world medical solutions. The agreement will provide Reichman’s tech transfer initiatives in digital health, biotechnology, and advanced medicine direct access to ARC’s clinical infrastructure, startup ecosystem, and implementation support both in Israel and globally.
The collaboration aims to transform early-stage academic ideas and patents into scalable, life-saving technologies. Innovators from Reichman University will benefit from Sheba’s extensive clinical knowledge, access to anonymized medical data, and mentorship from physicians and healthcare leaders. As part of the agreement, Reichman representatives will also join ARC’s SPARC program, an entrepreneur-in-training track that equips doctors, researchers, and healthcare professionals to become venture-ready clinician-entrepreneurs.
By leveraging ARC’s deep expertise in clinical integration and health innovation, the partnership is designed to close the gap between academic discovery and market deployment, offering a real-world pathway for university research to become viable ventures. It reflects ARC’s broader mission to harness the power of interdisciplinary collaboration to drive transformative change in global healthcare.
This marks a major milestone in an ongoing relationship between the two institutions. The partnership builds on previous joint efforts, including the launch of Reichman’s first-of-its-kind MBA in Healthcare Innovation, a one-year program that integrates healthtech, entrepreneurship, and academic rigor.
Avner Halperin, CEO of Sheba Impact and ARC Innovation, said: “The collaboration with Reichman University connects two worlds, clinical practice and entrepreneurial vision, with the goal of accelerating the path from idea to market. We believe that the future of medical innovation lies precisely at this intersection: when researchers, physicians, and entrepreneurs work together with deep clinical understanding and the ability to develop practical solutions. Reichman has an exceptional infrastructure, having recently launched a new medical school, an MBA program in medical innovation that we developed in partnership, and one of the country’s leading entrepreneurship centers. This partnership is not only natural but a strategic move that broadens the influence of both institutions and gives real potential for life-saving ideas to become reality.”
Dr. Dikla Ender-Fox, Director of the Innovation Center at Reichman University, said: “The collaboration with Sheba Impact strengthens the link between applied research, industry, and the healthcare system. Reichman University promotes multidisciplinary innovation, and we believe that combining the knowledge and capabilities of our researchers with Sheba’s leading clinical infrastructure will enable the development of solutions with broad scientific, medical, and economic impact.”
