YOUR WEEKLY UPDATES FROM SHEBA MEDICAL CENTER
Bringing Quality Healthcare to Arab & Bedouin Communities
Last week, Sheba Medical Center announced a dynamic collaboration between the hospital and the Yanabia organization, aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services to the Arab and Bedouin populations across Israel. Through this partnership, state-of-the-art medical, surgical, and ambulatory centers will be established, bridging gaps in healthcare access and improving health outcomes in underserved communities in the periphery.
Statistically speaking-did you know that while the average life expectancy in Israel is 83 years old, it drops to 79.9 years old in Arab society and 76 years old among Bedouins? This partnership aims to close this gap by providing top-tier medical services to those who need it most.
This initiative will also address long-standing issues such as long waiting times, lack of medical records, and low supplementary health insurance take-up. Together, we’re ensuring everyone deserves the best healthcare—bringing advanced care, healthy lifestyle education, and specialized medical services to millions across Israel—Jews and Arabs alike.
