Chanukah 2024-Kindling Hope Without Boundaries

Life goes by in the blink of an eye. Whether we are at war or in peace time, our doctors and nurses do their utmost to preserve and enhance life in every single person that comes through the doors of this hospital. 

There can be no doubt that Sheba is the only medical facility in the world at this time in history that is battling to not only preserve the lives of wounded soldiers, but in doing so also working feverishly to provide the families of these injured modern day Maccabees, with a spark of hope without boundaries. Nearly 70% of all wounded soldiers from Gaza, Lebanon and Judea/Samaria (W. Bank) have been treated at Sheba, the most of any hospital in Israel. We are speaking about THOUSANDS of soldiers!

And, more than 99% of those who have been evacuated from the battlefields have not only been saved by our innovative medical staff but are also being rehabilitated using cutting-edge methodologies, so they can return to their lives in a normal fashion. This also means that Sheba is whole-heartedly committed to repairing both their bodies and souls, through our unique partnership with the FIDF (Friends of Israel Defense Forces), which has provided us with the critical tools to deal with the potentially debilitating scourge of PTSD. 

When we see a soldier leaving our facility with a smiling face and an optimistic outlook on life, after having endured months of physical and emotional pain, that is indeed a miracle to behold!
