The Need
Following the October 7 attacks, Israeli society has been faced with significant mental health challenges, which have manifested in conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. A recent report indicates that over half a million citizens, including entire families, have been impacted directly and indirectly by these events, highlighting a pressing need for mental health support and therapy.
Sheba’s innovative approach involves creating a large green outdoor environment designed to promote the healthy recovery of its users, with a focus on aesthetics and inviting spaces.

The selected Eucalyptus Forest site within Sheba’s campus will undergo meticulous landscaping and design tailored to accommodate various populations and age groups. It will offer an extensive range of individual and group therapies, including art, movement, music, meditation, yoga, and more, conducted in open spaces or specialized custom-built Yurt structures.
THE PROJECT
Integrating seamlessly into the natural scenery, the site will feature delicate water features, an open-air kitchen surrounded by aromatic herbs, discreet secluded spots for tranquility, and expansive open play areas designed for children’s recreational activities. It will include:

- Purposely designed to enhance the mental and physical wellbeing of its users with spaces for movement and exercise, social engagement, water features and quiet areas, all creating an ambiance that reduces stress.
- Caters to different demographics and age groups, will include shared eating areas and playgrounds.
