Tele-rehabilitation
The Need
Rehabilitation is a cornerstone of recovery for wounded soldiers and civilians. Regaining functionality after injury or illness is a long-term journey, demanding consistent patient effort. For individuals facing mobility limitations or residing in remote areas, access to high-quality rehabilitation can be a significant hurdle.
This is where remote rehabilitation emerges as a powerful solution. Delivering therapy directly to patients’ homes removes geographical barriers and caters to those with limited mobility. This empowers them to actively participate in their recovery, regardless of location.
About
Tele-rehabilitation
Following the October 7 attacks, Sheba Beyond, Israel’s first virtual hospital, rapidly expanded its capacity by over 35% to accommodate a surge in patients. This leading program at Sheba Medical Center offers top-notch tele-rehabilitation, allowing patients to receive physical and mental therapy sessions online from home. Our skilled therapists provide personalized care through the innovative ReAbility online platform, which includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions. With 44% of our tele-rehabilitation patients living outside central Israel, we’ve proven it’s a convenient option for everyone. Since 2021, we’ve seen a 48% increase in patients and an 87% patient satisfaction rate.
Scaling Our Impact
With your support, we aim to scale our tele-rehabilitation services by 20%. This crucial investment will:
- Expand care for wounded soldiers and civilians: We’ll tailor our services to address the specific needs of soldiers and civilians with war-related injuries.
- Strengthen our team: The additional funding will allow us to recruit physiotherapists and support personnel to manage the growing patient base.
- Embrace innovation: In order to improve clinical outcomes and patient experience, we plan to add cutting-edge tools for motion tracking as well as a library of enriching exercises.
