Dr. Joel Gutovitz, an intern at Sheba from Overland Park, Kansas, Celebrated Simchat Torah on October 7th, like many others in Israel. Joel’s festivities were interrupted by an urgent call from Sheba requesting assistance with incoming patients arriving following the horrific Hamas attack. Joel took up the call without hesitation.
Navigating through the tragedy, a glimmer of hope emerged: an overwhelming outpouring of communal support and unity. Individuals from diverse backgrounds rallied together, searching for ways to lend a hand.
