Forbes Israel’s 2024 Best Doctors List Underscores “World’s Best Hospital” Accolade

Yet another ‘global’ magazine has cited Sheba Medical Center, as a medical mecca with hundreds of the best doctors in Israel treating nearly 2 million people from all walks- of-life throughout the year.

 FORBES ISRAEL’S annual “Best Doctors in Israel” list highlighted 202 of Sheba’s doctors in the 2024 edition.

The list includes 186 specialties and subspecialties, featuring 1,386 doctors from medical centers, institutions, and hospitals across Israel. Sheba leads in nearly 50% of these categories. The ranking, based on clinical excellence, research contributions, and patient care, highlights Sheba’s supreme leadership in fields such as cardiology, oncology, neurology, and pediatrics. 

Notably, 38% of the best rehabilitation doctors in Israel work at Sheba, reflecting the center’s strength in this critical area, especially since the horrific events of October 7. In internal medicine, 25% of the country’s top doctors come from Sheba’s departments, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to improving patient experiences for those with severe and complex conditions.

Additionally, about a quarter of Sheba’s surgeons in cardiac and thoracic surgery are on the list,  highlighting the hospital’s excellence in these vital specialties. In cancer treatment, Sheba features 10 stand-out oncologists and 12 hematology specialists. The fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and fertility are also areas where Sheba excels, with 20% of the best doctors in these areas being from Sheba. Having been ranked 9th globally as a “World’s Best Hospital” by Newsweek magazine in January,  this latest achievement stands as another milestone and source of pride for all of Sheba’s dedicated staff.
