Amidst recent tragic events in Israel, the Future of Health (FOH) Summit 2023 in Boston took on a deeper significance, showcasing the unwavering commitment of the global medical community to advance healthcare, even in the face of overwhelming challenges.

The annual Future of Health (FOH) Summit held in Boston on October 16th was not just another gathering of health experts. This year, the event was heavily underscored by the recent tragic events in Israel on October 7th.

An esteemed non-profit international organization, FOH is renowned for its dedication to shaping the future of health. With representation from 14 countries and myriad health organizations, it aims to facilitate collaboration and promote knowledge exchange on pivotal health topics, ultimately presenting vital recommendations to global decision-makers.

Deepening Ties: FOH’s Heartfelt Solidarity with Israel

In light of the attacks in Israel, the focus of this year’s summit was adjusted to express a profound show of support and solidarity with Israel. This shift was particularly meaningful given the deep-rooted ties FOH shares with Israel. Notably, several members of the FOH leadership team, who reside in Israel and have families there, made the heartfelt journey to Boston amidst the dire situation. These included Prof. Eyal Zimlichman, FOH co-founder who serves as Sheba’s Chief Innovation and Transformation Officer as well as the Director of ARC Innovation.

A major highlight of the conference was a fireside chat centered on “Israel’s Emergency Medical Response to The Current Gaza War.” The conversation provided critical insights into Israel’s resilience, preparedness, and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.
