In a testament to sheer dedication and unwavering commitment, Sheba achieved the impossible: establishing a new rehabilitation ward at a moment’s notice.

“Returning to Life” rehabilitation ward

In less than 48 hours, Sheba’s “Returning to Life” rehabilitation ward, a sanctuary initially equipped with 36 beds and now proudly boasting 76, was born. In the wake of October 7th, it serves as a flicker of hope, focusing on rehabilitating our valiant soldiers and helping them ‘return to life,’ one step at a time.

Itay, one of the soldiers under our care since the program’s inception, describes it as nothing short of a game-changer. “The fact that everyone is a soldier, everyone is young and happy – together, it makes us feel so much better,” he says. Itay’s story embodies the spirit of resilience that pervades this place. In just two weeks, he went from struggling to get out of bed to walking. It’s a testament to the dedication of our staff, who have turned a hospital into an oasis of healing.

Our mission extends not only to Itay but to every soldier who has bravely fought for our nation and to civilians wounded in the same attack. The journey ahead may be long, but we stand firm, supporting every step.
