Striving to Solve Unique Problems for Body & Soul
Much to everyone’s chagrin, 2025 has begun with the grim reality of a region without peace.
Helicopters are still bringing wounded soldiers from Gaza, Lebanon and Judea/Samaria (W. Bank). While there is a glimmer of hope on several fronts, including a return of living hostages to Israel, doctors and psychiatrists alike are still facing a myriad of medical issues that will not disappear anytime soon.
Wounded soldiers, former hostages and many civilians alike are being treated for a variety of maladies of the body and soul. Our staff members are literally rewriting the medical book based on their exposure to these physiological and psychological challenges.
What is particularly fascinating and unique to the Jewish people, are technological advances developed at Sheba, which address the halachic hurdles faced by severely wounded soldiers and civilians alike.
In this edition, you will hear about the psychological toll that former and current hostages are facing, as well as the first-in-the-world technological solution created at Sheba for wounded soldiers who wish to don tefillin.
Hope, indeed, has no boundaries!
