The Lion Roars: Why Sheba is Ranked #7 in the World!

If there was any doubt as to why Newsweek/Statista ranked us as the 7th World’s Best Hospital last week (rising from #8), one only had to watch the hundreds of medical and support personnel spring into action the minute the Ministry of Health and IDF Homefront Command alerted the hospital to start the process of moving patients to our underground facilities.

Close to 50 divisions across the campus moved patients to pre-designated areas in 4 specific locations underground within less than 36 hours. And with each “military operation” to combat our enemies, in this case-Roaring Lion-our staff operated like a well-oiled machine. Infrastructure personnel checked and upgraded the electrical flow in each location, from the underground maternity ward to the dialysis center and bustling Emergency Room. The new and upgraded Emergency Room highlighted our vaunted Field Hospital as well.

Sheba also lent a helping hand to our nearby neighbor, Wolfson Medical Center, which does not highlight enough protected spaces for patients. So, nearly 100 patients were transported to Sheba from Wolfson to continue their medical care with doctors from Wolfson on site at Sheba, working side by side with our personnel.

And, even as you are reading this dozens of reporters from around the world are descending upon Sheba to highlight this unique life-saving environment.
