Dr. Elai Chogeg-Golan’s story is one of resilience, determination, and personal strength.
Dr. Chogeg-Golan faced unimaginable adversity when she survived the horrendous terrorist attacks on October 7 in Kfar Aza. Terrorists burned her house and threw gas balloons inside, severely injuring her, her husband, and their two-year-old daughter. Despite being unconscious for 51 days and enduring extensive rehabilitation, she never gave up on her dream.
At Sheba Medical Center, Dr. Chogeg-Golan received top-tier medical care, benefiting from advanced rehabilitation programs designed to support both her physical recovery and mental well-being. The multidisciplinary team at Sheba worked tirelessly to ensure she had the best possible resources to regain her strength and skills.
Following months of intensive rehabilitation, Dr. Chogeg-Golan demonstrated incredible determination by deciding to resume her medical internship at Sheba.
