A World Leader in Dealing with & Combating Pandemics

Sheba has been one of the world’s most active coronavirus research and vaccination centers. We created a unique cohort among our employees, as well as being among the first in the world to quickly vaccinate both the Israeli and Palestinian populations, which included our Prime Minister and President.

It has been almost 3 years since we treated our first coronavirus patients and though we have learned a lot about how to deal with this pandemic—it still remains a global threat to this day. With a “tripledemic” on the verge of impacting this planet (read below), Sheba will be actively engaged in combatting new Covid variants and future pandemics by creating a new state-of-the-art pandemic research institute in the coming weeks led by Prof. Gili Regev-Yochay.

In the interim, it is important for the civilian population to be vaccinated against both the flu and Covid viruses, especially if you are in an “at risk” category. And wearing a mask in crowded indoor environments (malls, halls, airplanes, etc.) is highly recommended during the current winter virus wave. Stay healthy!
