Bringing Innovative Medical Care to the Israeli Arab Community & “Beyond”
One of the greatest challenges within Israel is offering innovative quality care to citizens who live in the periphery, where hospitals are not always equipped to deal with complex medical issues.
Telehealth (remote care) exploded onto the scene during the Corona era when Sheba was one of the first hospitals in the world to use telehealth to treat patients without over-exposing doctors and nurses to the virus. The successful use of remote care spawned Sheba Beyond, which today, uses a myriad of ground-breaking technologies to treat both patients in Israel and abroad.
Thus, bringing Sheba Beyond to Nazareth, the beautiful and historic city in Northern Israel was a natural progression.
“We firmly believe that partnerships pave the way for progress,” said Prof. Yitshak Kreiss, Director General of Sheba. We are celebrating a significant milestone by signing the first-ever telemedicine partnership Memorandu
m of Understanding (MOU) between Sheba and St. Vincent French Hospital in Nazareth.”
Distinguished leaders who participated in the signing included Prof. Nael Elias MD. MHA. MPH. MBA, General Director of Saint Vincent and Avner Halperin, CEO of THM, Sheba’s Tech Transfer company. This groundbreaking partnership opens up new avenues for healthcare innovation, reinforcing Sheba’s unwavering belief that working together is the key to unlocking a brighter future.
