Home at Last: The Returning Hostages’ Journey Back to Life

On October 13, 2025, Israel witnessed a day that will never be forgotten. The last twenty living Israeli hostages were finally returned home after more than two years in captivity. Across the country, people sat in front of screens at home and at work, holding their breath as they waited to see their loved ones come home. It was a day filled with both fear and hope — fear of what the hostages had endured and of the long recovery ahead, and hope that, together, we will heal and rebuild.
