The aim of this course is to develop the necessary skills to identify and prevent potential risks to patients and the occurrence of adverse events so that medical teams can ensure the quality and safety of patient care.
Quality of care, patient safety, and risk management are integral parts of hospital care management with an emphasis on providing high-quality and safe care to both patients and staff.

To become familiar with the Israeli healthcare system that regulates patient-therapist interactions directly and indirectly.
Mr. Amit Gutkind completed his undergraduate degree at Tel Aviv University and his master’s degree at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, specializing in the subject of: “Perception of family support given to parents of children with cancer and its impact on their quality of life: Comparison with parents from the general population”.
Amit is currently completing his doctorate at Tel Aviv University, and a research paper on “Adverse drug events in pediatric inpatient wards – validating a tool for identifying the events and testing the effectiveness of a clinical decision support system to reduce the phenomenon”.
Amit specialized in nursing oncology in the field of pediatric hemato-oncologic bone marrow transplantation, serving for many years as head nurse of this unit. In recent years, Amit has specialized in measurement and quality improvement processes during medical treatment and was appointed as the Chief Quality and Safety Officer of Sheba Medical Center. In recent years, Amit has participated in several delegations worldwide on behalf of the medical center, consulting on quality and safety of care. He has contributed to the advancement of this field in many countries.
