Objectives:

Sheba BEYOND, the virtual hospital of Sheba Medical Center, provides medical training and education, for healthcare professionals, about how to build and operate a virtual hospital, with the following aims:

Acquire new capabilities and knowledge of tele-health services.
Enhance small-scale \ local tele-health pilots or initiatives into scaled-up services.
Manage and operate a virtual hospital.

Sheba BEYOND supports tens of virtual clinics and hundreds of therapists in a variety of fields, performing >40,000 tele-health visits a year. Our education program can include some of our main tele-health services, such as:

Remote/ Hybrid Chronic disease management: Various treatment plans for the remote (or hybrid) management of patients suffering from several chronic diseases by multi-disciplinary teams are being applied. These plans are flexible to fit the personalized needs of the different patients. Some of our present projects include programs for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, high-risk pregnancy, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and a care program for pediatric obesity.
Rehabilitation: Multidisciplinary online rehabilitation offering a comprehensive customized program that includes home practice under the guidance of Sheba’s rehabilitation experts. Remote on-line physical, cognitive and mental rehabilitation are successfully being applied to many thousands of patients.
Remote cardiac rehabilitation: improves cardiac performance and both physical and mental health in patients following myocardial infraction, heart failure, angioplasty or cardiac surgery.
Home hospitalization: Sheba BEYOND provides services of hybrid home hospitalization for internal medicine patients and psychiatric patients.
Expert consultancy services: Physician – physician and physician-patient consultations can be provided in all clinical fields.
