Understanding the principles of medical nutrition therapy for different conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, nephrology, geriatrics, pediatrics, and more.
Gaining insight into the administration of specialized nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, for patients who cannot consume adequate nutrients orally.
Developing effective communication skills to provide nutritional counseling to patients, including behavior modification techniques and patient education.
