For the eighth consecutive year, Newsweek and Statista have recognized Sheba Medical Center among the World's Best Hospitals, this year, at an unprecedented #7. It is a record of sustained excellence, built over years of relentless innovation, pioneering research, and an enduring commitment to transforming healthcare in Israel and across the world.

Sheba Medical Center is a City of Health: a single campus home to seven hospitals, 11 centers of excellence, and ARC (Accelerate, Redesign, Collaborate), the global healthcare transformation platform of Sheba Medical Center. Treating more than 2 million patients annually, Sheba reflects a dual commitment: delivering world-class clinical care across multiple specialties, while simultaneously driving systemic global transformation in healthcare — redesigning health systems, integrating artificial intelligence at scale, and building resilient, future-ready models of care.

Beyond its campus, Sheba’s impact spans continents through partnerships with governments, medical institutions, and healthcare professionals who share the same vision of innovative, groundbreaking care.

Prof. Yitshak Kreiss, Director General/CEO of Sheba Medical Center, reflects on what the recognition means:

This achievement is emblematic of our on-going commitment to transforming healthcare on a global scale, which has been recognized by our colleagues around the world. From the EU to the USA, from Albania to Australia, Singapore, the Gulf and beyond,

Measuring Excellence: How the Ranking Works

The Newsweek/Statista World’s Best Hospitals ranking evaluates over 2,500 hospitals across 32 countries using a rigorous methodology built on four data sources: hospital quality metrics, recommendations from medical experts worldwide, results from patient surveys, and Statista’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey. By capturing perspectives from both clinicians and patients, the ranking reflects how each institution is advancing clinical research and improving real-world patient outcomes.

Sheba’s recognition extends beyond this flagship list. The medical center is also ranked among Newsweek’s World’s Best Smart Hospitals and Best Specialized Hospitals, cementing its place among the most distinguished medical institutions in the world.
